Duties:

Determine product needs for retail and wholesale operations, including podiatry, dental, surgical, and anesthesia instruments.
Monitor inventory levels and establish purchase quantities to maintain adequate stock while meeting customer demand.
Research market trends and review supplier catalogs to evaluate potential products.
Select high-quality medical instruments that meet the company’s purchasing standards.
Communicate and negotiate with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery schedules, credit terms, and promotional opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to support long-term partnerships and ensure reliable product supply.
Assist in managing product records, purchase documentation, and basic reporting of purchasing activities.

Requirements:

·         Completion of high school is required

·         At least 3 year of experience as a merchandise buyer or a similar role, preferably in retail or wholesale operations

·         Proven record in product sourcing, price negotiation, supplier communication.

·         Familiarity with medical instruments or healthcare-related products is an asset

·         Strong communication and negotiation skills

·         Ability to establish and maintain long term supplier relationships

·         Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple suppliers and product lines
