Tasks:
Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
Prepare and serve nutritious meals
Prepare infants and children for rest periods
Organize, activities such as games and outings for children
Supervise and care for children
Tend to emotional well-being of children
Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
Change diapers
Follow parents’ lead with toilet training
Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
Take children to and from school and to appointments
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Certificates: CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate
Target audience: Toddler to pre-school (1 – 3 years)
Security and safety: Criminal record check; Reference required
Transportation/travel information: public transportation is available, willing to travel, valid driver’s licence
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding, repetitive tasks, work under pressure
Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
