Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to individuals with various needs, including those with disabilities, seniors, and patients requiring specialized care. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized support and care.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
Help with meal preparation and ensure clients receive nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs.
Support clients with mobility and transportation to appointments or social activities.
Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
Monitor and document client progress, reporting any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Assist in case management by coordinating services and resources for clients as needed.
Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or those in hospice care settings.
Qualifications

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or senior care preferred.
Knowledge of patient care practices, including dementia care and hospice care principles.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Experience in meal preparation and understanding dietary restrictions is a plus.
Familiarity with working with persons with disabilities is highly desirable.
