We are looking for dedicated Registered Nurses (RN) who are passionate about working in Long-Term Care. Working in collaboration with our interdisciplinary team you will assist and support residents in making choices that promote independence, enhance their lives, and enable them to age with dignity.
Responsibilities:
Assesses resident health status
Recognizes deviations from mental health baseline, differentiating between dementia and delirium
Plans and documents care ensuring it is individualized and designed to restore functional capabilities and prevent complications and excess disabilities
Consults and coordinates with other team members in planning and implementing treatment programs for resident care
Assumes responsibility for continuing education and professional development
Assists with admissions and discharge of residents
Maintains current knowledge of trends and concepts in gerontological nursing
Your Qualifications – Must have’s:
Currently registered with BCCNM
Maintain a current license as a professional Registered Nurse (RN)
Current Level One Occupational First aide and Level C CPR.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
Interacting with residents and family with kindness and empathy
You can work independently as well as take direction, be a team player, be flexible, and be able to demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills
Ability to organize workloads and have excellent time management skills
You have the physical ability and stamina to carry out the duties of the role
Must provide a criminal record check for vulnerable adults.
