Position Title & # Of Vacancies: Butcher (2 positions)

Job Details

Tasks:

– Breaking down multiple animal types such as beef, bison, sheep, pork and wild game

– Deboning carcasses and preparing steaks, roasts and other cuts of meat

– Preparing a fresh retail showcase daily for retail sales

– Will work on a Harvest Floor one day per week

– Will keep the workspace very clean, includes doing dishes and cleaning larger equipment, floors    and walls.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift 60 lbs. Ability to work in colder temperatures. Ability to work using dangerous equipment (Band saw, Meat Slicer, Meat Mixer, Grinder). Work with minimal Supervision. Ability to maintain proper personal hygiene.

Skills Requirements

Education: Completion of Post-Secondary School for Butchery or related program is preferred.

Work Experience: At least 1 year of experience or on-the-job training in Meat Cutting is required.
