RIVER HEIGHTS HOTEL operated by 404204 BC Ltd. in Courtenay, BC is in need of a Permanent and F/T Cleaning Supervisor who will be responsible for the following:

Job Duties:

·         Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of housekeeping and cleaning staff to ensure all guest rooms and public areas meet hotel excellence standards.

·         Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and common areas after cleaning to ensure high-quality sanitization and presentation.

·         Establish and prepare work schedules and assign cleaning duties to staff based on occupancy levels.

·         Co-ordinate work activities with other departments.

·         Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and linens, and place orders for new materials as needed.

·         Hire and train new cleaning staff in job duties, safety procedures, and hotel policies.

·         Recommend or arrange for additional maintenance services or repairs for damaged hotel property required such as painting, repair work, renovations or replacement of furnishings and equipment.

·         Prepare budget, estimate costs and maintain financial records.

·         Handle guest requests or complaints regarding housekeeping services professionally.

·         Assist in performing cleaning duties during peak periods or staff shortages to ensure operational efficiency.

Requirements:

–      Completion of secondary school.

–      1~2 years of work experience in related field.

–      Proficiency in English

Hourly wage: $37.00 per hour based on 30 to 40 hours per week
