Eden Japanese Restaurant (DBA: Wasabi Sushi & Teriyaki House) serves Japanese foods in Regina, SK. Currently we are looking for a quality cook to join our restaurant. All applicants that seek a long term employment are welcome; including youth, aboriginals and new immigrants, etc. The hourly wage for this position shall be $ 17.

Duties and responsibilities:

·         Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.

·         Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies.

·         Manage kitchen operations.

·         Inspect kitchens and food service areas.

·         Clean kitchen and work areas.

·         Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

·         Order supplies and equipment.

·         Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.

·         Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.

Requirements:

·         A minimum of one year of work experience in cooking.

·         Fast-paced environment/Handling heavy loads/Work under pressure/Repetitive tasks/Standing for extended periods/Overtime required/Physically demanding/Attention to detail

·         Must be a team player, flexible, reliable, and organized

·         Applicants who can work for at least one year are to be preferred.

·         Full-time job seekers are to be preferred.
