Job Title: Steel Stud Framer

Job Duties:

·         Interpret architectural blueprints, drawings, and technical plans to determine layout and material requirements.

·         Mark and prepare layouts in alignment with local building codes using levels, measuring tapes, and squares.

·         Measure, cut, and assemble steel studs, tracks, and other framing components using appropriate tools and equipment.

·         Construct framing systems including floor joists, subfloors, wall sections, partitions, ceilings, and roof structures.

·         Install trim elements such as doors, hardware, stairs, and molding as needed.

·         Perform repairs, renovations, and maintenance on framing systems in various settings such as commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, and industrial plants.

·         Oversee and guide apprentices and general labourers on job sites.

·         Assist in estimating materials and labour costs when required.

Education: Completion of secondary school

Experience: 2 years of experience in steel stud framing or related carpentry trade

Work site environment: At heights, dusty, noisy

Job location: various locations in and around Lower Mainland area
