Job Opportunity – Food Counter Attendant

Position: Food Counter Attendant
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Vacancies: 1
Wage: $18.25 per hour, 40 hours per week

Work Location: 3555 Johnston Rd suite 102-B, Port Alberni, BC V9Y 8K2

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers, take food and beverage orders accurately, and provide courteous and efficient customer service.
• Portion, assemble, garnish, and package food and beverage items according to established procedures and customer orders.
• Serve prepared food and beverages to customers for dine-in, take-out, delivery, and other orders.
• Receive and process customer payments and provide receipts.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of counters, tables, food service areas, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards.
• Stock refrigerators, counters, and storage areas with food and supplies.
• Monitor food, ingredient, and supply levels and notify the supervisor when additional stock is required.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding menu items, ingredients, and available options.

Employment Requirements

• No prior work experience is required; training will be provided.
• No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment and under pressure.
• Ability to remain standing for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
