Lee’s Buffet is the largest buffet restaurant in Brandon. We have a variety of dishes featuring classic Asian items, sushi, and a few Western items as well. There’s something here for everyone! We are now looking for a motivated and hardworking Cook who will prepare and cook a wide variety of foods.

• Hourly salary: $17 – 20 per hour
• Overtime pay: 1.5×regular pay, if work over 8h/day or 40h/week

Job Duties:
1. Prepare foods to menu specifications and standardized recipes.
2. Inspect food preparation and serving areas to observe safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
3. Keep fresh appearance and up to the picture-perfect quality of all buffet items.
4. Maintain knowledge of foods with common allergens.
5. Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
6. Regulate the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
7. Ensure counters and utensils are clean and follow proper food handling guidelines.
8. Resolve problems with customer orders or other food-related issues in the kitchen promptly and efficiently.
9. Perform other duties, such as assisting kitchen staff.
Job Requirements:
1. Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
2. One (1) to two (2) years of experience as a cook is required.
3. Experience in Asian cuisine, including Cantonese, Szechuan, Japanese cuisine etc., is a strong asset.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure and stand for extended periods.
5. Weekend/evening/holiday hours are required.
